Curling Luxembourg has returned from an international tournament in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands, where they finished 12th in their second warm-up for the European Championships in October.
In a tournament that attracted a line-up of no less than 18 teams, of which no less than 13 were representing different national teams, Luxembourg defeated the Dutch National Women’s team to earn a 9-3 victory.
After defeats (some in very close games) against teams from Spain Ladies (6-8), Finland (mixed) (4-12) and Spain-Juniors (7-11), their third match for 11th place against Zoetermeer ended up a 3-8 loss.
Luxembourg was represented by Alex Benoy (skip), Yannick Hansen, Marc Hansen and Claude Schweitzer continue to prepare for the European Championship in October.
