We are the Grand Duchy’s first curling club (depuis 1976) and are having fun playing this wonderful game to this day.
Our members come from countries all over the world and every walk of life which makes us both typically Luxembourgish as well as a great place to meet new people and new cultures.
We have practice sessions every Monday and Wednesday from 19.30 to 21.30 at Patinoire de Kockelscheurer. Join us for some curling fun!
Curling season starts in September and lasts until April. Club members get together for some curling fun on Mondays and Wednesdays evening between 19.30 and 21.30 at Patinoire de Kockelscheuer.
While members are encouraged to bring their own curling gear, we do provide basic equipment for beginners which allows them to experience the joy of curling without incurring unnecessary costs from the outset.
If you plan to drop-in for the first time, do give us a shout beforehand.
Curling Luxembourg organises a wide variety of national competitions from Coupe de Luxembourg early in the season to national championships in all categories.
Members of the club take part in many events outside Luxembourg, organised by other curling clubs in the region and beyond. By participating club members not only keep in step with international competition but also foster the curling spirit and make new friends.
Every year Curling Club Luxembourg organises Coupe de l’amitié, a three-day event with many international guests. This competition is the club’s contribution to the camaraderie of the international curling family.
When attending international events under the auspices of the World Curling Federation club members form Team Luxembourg, officially representing the Grand Duchy. The team is put together based on availability and current form of club members.
Curling Club Luxembourg organises curling sessions for kids in 3rd year of secondaire and older. Sessions last between 30 and 45 minutes and are supervised by club trainers.
The Ice rinks at Kockelscheuer offer great opportunities for corporate curling events involving companies, office parties, community groups or simply friends. Our curling events can provide meaningful teambuilding opportunities for companies or organizations, or just an enjoyable and fun social event for a group of friends.
Curling is an ideal activity for such events as it can be played by people of all ages, ability and fitness.
All the necessary equipment is provided, with the additional bonus of guidance and coaching provided by qualified coaches.
