COUPE DE LUXEMBOURG – Results

This weekend the final matches between the qualified teams took place in a round robin (each team against each team):

The final of the COUPE DE LUXEMBOURG was won in an exciting match by the team D.KELLY/RICHARDS/YUENLUE.
Dan Kelly, Candice Richards and Frank Yünlü in fact were unbeatable and finish the competition unbeaten with 3 victories.

Finalist and second place with 2 victories was the team PROMME/GRAHAM/MUNN/S.BENOY

Third place with 1 victory: Team Y HANSEN/MOESER/SCHWEITZER/EDWARDS

Fourth place without victory: Team A.BENOY/J.KELLY/ M.HANSEN

Marco ETIENNE, Claude SCHWEITZER et Susi BENOY gagnent la COUPE DE LUXEMBOURG 2013

Ce dimanche a eu lieu à Kockelscheuer la phase finale de la Coupe de Luxembourg 2013.

13 participants se sont affrontés et une finale très disputée a vu la victoire de l’équipe ETIENNE, SCHWEITZER, BENOY.

Ils ont pu remporter la finale in extremis contre Jörg MOESER, Candice RICHARDS et Yannick HANSEN par 7-6 après 8 ends après avoir été menés 5-6 au 7e end encore !!!

La «petite» finale a été remportée par Alex BENOY, Marc HANSEN et Jill HONDA 12-9 contre Yves SIERADZKI, Marc PROMME/Chris HONDA et Ian MUNN.

Tous les participants ont pu, lors de la petite distribution des prix, vers 19 heures, savourer un délicieux plat de pâtes chez Mario-Brasserie RICAROCCA, cafétéria de la patinoire de Kockelscheuer.

2012 Coupe de Luxembourg – Round 2 & Round 3

Recap

In the second match, team Jörg played very steadily.  They built up a commanding lead after three ends, forcing Jacqueline to take risks to catch up.  Unfortunatley, the risks did not come off, so team Jörg ran out comfortable winners.In the third match, the difference was in the skips.  While Jörg played soundly, Dan had an off day, missing straightforward take outs.  Thus team Jörg was never under pressure and won well. So team Jörg are the deserved winners of the inaugural Coupe de Luxembourg
